Vintage French Terracotta Candle sconces. Handcrafted in the Pyrenees mountain region of France .

Based on a design dating back to the 19th century and as regional legend claims, curved by local women around their thighs! Weathered by the Pyrenees sunshine & showers each piece shows it’s own unique texture.

Left outdoors and weathered by the Pyrenees elements (plenty of sunshine and the odd downpour) each sconce slowly develops its own texture and patina over time. The result is a pair that feels perfectly imperfect, with no two pieces ever exactly the same.

These sconces can be wall mounted outdoors or indoors.
