17th Century Aubusson Tapestry

I7th Century Aubusson Tapestry. Completely restored with a new back lining and ribboned linen trim. Ready to be installed.

I selected this piece from one of my suppliers on the beautiful streets of Saint Germain de Prés in Paris in July... we sat on a bench in front of his store and talked all things tapestries & when he laid this piece out for me... it was love at first sight. It’s truly an incredible tapestry.

Once we secured this piece we sent it away to get a complete professional restoration (which took about 2 months) this included a gorgeous new lining for the back which gives the tapestry a more weighted and structured look when hung. We also added a new ribboned linen trim to frame her.

We opted for a simple velcro backing system for hanging which gives it a flush finish to the wall.
